The six-phase rear motor is especially powerful. AMG-specific cooling helps maintain consistent response during performance driving and varying climates. A RACE START option can briefly boost output up to 677 hp and 738 lb-ft.

AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive

An electro-specific development of the acclaimed AMG all-wheel drive system can continuously distribute torque to all four wheels with infinite front/rear-axle variability. Markedly quicker in response than mechanical AWD and virtually weightless, the system can calculate and adjust the torque split 10,000 times per minute. The Comfort mode of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT emphasizes efficiency and range while the Sport and Sport+ modes emphasize driving dynamics with a greater rear-axle bias.

The high-voltage battery's energy content of more than 90 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help maintain its performance throughout its long lifespan. Active Lane Change Assist

When cruising with DISTRONIC engaged, this innovation can allow the driver to execute a lane change simply by activating a turn signal with a tap of the lever. The system is designed to sense when you're traveling on a multilane highway, and whether the area across the dashed lane marking is clear for a lane-change, then precisely steer into the adjacent lane. Enhancements can lengthen the system's search phase for an opening, and change lanes more deftly.

Exit Warning Assist

Using the technology of Blind Spot Assist after you park, Exit Warning Assist can watch for vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.

Active Blind Spot Assist

At most driving speeds, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area on either side of you, and alert you by illuminating an icon in the appropriate side mirror. If you activate a turn signal while a vehicle is detected, it can sound a warning tone while flashing the mirror icon.
