The GLC 63's electronically controlled limited slip differential precisely apportions power to each rear wheel. Cornering is more reassuring, more rewarding, and potentially more rapid as well.

AMG Performance 4MATIC turns the GLC 43's torque into traction and agility, with a 31:69 rear bias. In the GLC 63, AMG Performance 4MATIC can fully vary the front-to-rear torque split. Translation: gripping control, and up to 100% rear-wheel drive.

The AMG Performance steering wheel includes Touch Control Buttons, and a flat-bottom design in a choice of materials. You can add the AMG DRIVE UNIT controls to any of them.

Power front sport seats with memory.

Substantially bolstered sport front seats feature exclusive contouring, intuitive seat-shaped controls on the door, plus a 4-way power lumbar support. To set and save your ideal driving position, a memory system for each front seat recalls three stored positions for the seat, plus the positions of the 4-way power steering column and side mirrors for the driver. Both front seats also feature adjustable thigh support.

Dual-zone automatic climate control.

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin. 3-zone climate control is available.

10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display.

A widescreen color display with multitouch interface makes it easy to access a world of features, including audio, MB Navigation, phone and vehicle settings. In addition to the three input methods of the standard screen (touchscreen, console touchpad, and Touch Control steering wheel), it also responds to the advanced voice control you activate by saying "Hey, Mercedes." Predictive features can learn and anticipate your commands, while you can save groups of settings as themes and moods.

12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display.

A vivid 12.3-inch screen directly in front of the driver offers customizable analog-style and digital displays for instrumentation and exclusive AMG readouts. LED headlamps and taillamps.

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, the multi-element LED headlamps enhance both vision and visibility in nighttime driving. Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps and all other front light functions are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. Wide, horizontal taillamps feature an all-LED design with a three-dimensional design.

Surround View System.

The Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it can help you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you're moving forward or backing up. A special mode zooms in to help you line up your GLC and a trailer to attach it to the available hitch.

Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning Assist.

When traveling above approximately 20 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. After parking, Exit Warning Assist can alert the driver or passengers to vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.

Aluminum and high-strength steel body structure.

Greater use of aluminum helps the body shell of the GLC elevate its overall rigidity, occupant protection and acoustic qualities while reducing weight, even with a significant increase in cabin space. Along with high-strength and ultrahigh-strength steel, numerous components and strategic reinforcements are made of diecast, extruded and stamped aluminum, as well as heat-treated steel and laser-welded, "tailored" sheet steel that's created with predetermined, varying thicknesses.

An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Dual two-stage front air bags, combined thorax/pelvic bags for driver and front passenger, a driver's knee air bag, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows are standard.

Active Brake Assist.

Radar-based technology alerts you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, the system can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, the system can also initiate braking automatically from speeds up to 65 mph, and can activate the features of PRE-SAFE^®.
