The lowered multilink suspension's selective damping firms up to conquer corners, stays tame on the highway. Optional adaptive, multimode AIR BODY CONTROL® turns pressurized air into poised handling and a polished ride.
The seamless power and natural balance of an inline-6 have returned to the Three-Pointed Star with another Mercedes-Benz tradition: a technological leap forward. The lightweight, fully beltless engine is also electrified, with an Integrated Starter-Generator that can supply up to 21 hp, allows fuel-free coasting, and can recapture energy during deceleration. Even on its own, the twin-scroll turbocharged gas engine outputs 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque for smooth, efficient response.
DYNAMIC SELECT fine-tunes performance with the tap of a console button. The 9-speed transmission, throttle and more sharpen in Sport mode, ease up in ECO. There's even a mode you can customize.
The E 450 4MATIC® adds all-wheel-drive confidence in challenging conditions. It's lightweight, efficient, and nimble in dry corners, too.
Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and power supply for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition to boosting power and torque for immediate response, EQ Boost offers a substantial reduction in fuel consumption.
An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.
Engineered to ideally balance comfort and control, selective damping can automatically adjust the individual shock absorbers based on the road surface and the driver's current driving style. Valving inside each shock absorber allows them to firm up during stronger body motions for sharper handling feedback and stability, and reduce the damping rate during gentler motions for a smoother, more composed ride. A lowered ride height enhances stability and cornering as well as appearance.
An advanced torque-vectoring system adds control and precision in turns via targeted rear-wheel braking. If the vehicle's Electronic Stability Program (ESP) detects understeer while cornering, Dynamic Cornering Assist applies the brake to the inside rear wheel, temporarily shifting torque distribution in favor of the outside wheel. This causes the vehicle to gently pivot in response, putting it on a line of travel, or vector, better suited to the turn.
Fresh styling gets even sharper with the AMG Line. A diamond-block grille and muscular lower bodywork set off AMG® wheels. Take it all to the dark side with the Night Package. Eleven wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches.
The E-Class coupe wraps its technological leadership in a shape that advances its true-coupe tradition. Elegantly athletic lines flow from a new grille and LED headlamps to wide, wraparound LED taillamps via a sleek pillarless profile. A long wheelbase and wide stance offer spacious comfort for four, while its rakish roofline and aero-optimized details reveal that the timelessly modern appeal of a Mercedes-Benz coupe is equal parts form, function and flow.
The classic Mercedes-Benz coupe signature is a sweeping profile with no visible framework interrupting the four power side windows. Called pillarless design, it's a not just a class-exclusive but a bodystyle only Mercedes-Benz has produced continuously for over half a century. It takes an extensive degree of engineering to deliver the airy elegance and sporty energy of a pillarless coupe with the security and solidity expected of a Mercedes-Benz, but it reflects the passion behind the Star.
From its headlamps to its distinctive taillamps, a network of long-lasting and energy-efficient LEDs accomplish every exterior lighting function with distinctive style. The wide, wraparound LED taillamps accentuate the car's athletic stance. LEDs also offer quicker illumination, offering other drivers more time to react to your brake lamps and other signals.
Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a large panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide back for an open-air feeling. An interior power sunshade lets you adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.
Elegantly detailed 18-inch wheels feature five pairs of tapering spokes with grey-painted inlays, set off by machine-finished surfaces. They're staggered in width and equipped with high-performance Extended Mobility tires, ideal for rear-wheel-drive models but available on request with 4MATIC as well.

Four individually tailored seats are an E-Class Coupe tradition. So is the driver focus of its advanced digital instruments and touch or voice controls. With a wheelbase stretching more than four inches beyond the previous generation's, the newest E-Class Coupe offers exceptional rear-cabin comfort. It's a true four-seater, not only by the count of its seating positions, but also by the measures that count even more: comfort, craftsmanship and contentment for all aboard.
The intuitive touch controls of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) put countless features at your fingertips. Dual 12.3-inch displays include a central touchscreen. Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto and wireless charging are standard.
MBUX can turn your words into action. Just say "Hey, Mercedes" then "I'm cold" or "I need a coffee," and MBUX can warm the cabin or set the standard MB Navigation. You can also quietly control features via new, more advanced steering-wheel touch controls or available gesture control.
Power front seats feature intuitive, seat-shaped controls on the door, plus a 4-way power lumbar support. To set and save your ideal driving position, a memory system for each front seat recalls three stored positions for the seat, plus the positions of the 4-way power steering column and side mirrors for the driver. Deep side bolsters add lateral support in turns.
Pneumatically adjustable lumbar, side and shoulder supports offer custom-tailored comfort. Four massage programs can help soothe and rejuvenate your back and shoulders.
Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin.
One of the most respected makers of handcrafted high-end home audio, Germany's Burmester® has developed a surround-sound system that's specifically tailored to the E-Class. With 13 high-quality speakers and a 590-watt, 9-channel digital amplifier, the system fills the cabin with pure surround sound while seamlessly compensating for ambient noise. Exquisitely detailed aluminum speaker grilles are as rewarding to the eyes as the system's output is to the most discerning ears.
A power Panorama roof, 64-color cabin lighting, and heated front seats are sensual, sensible and standard. Options from ventilated front seats to cabin aromatheraphy can soothe all your senses.
All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are protected by our New Vehicle Limited Warranty, covering defects in material or workmanship for 48-months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. For added protection, the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers continued peace of mind with prolonged coverage tailored to your needs.
Bumped while parked? Your E-Class can send you a message. And on the go, an available dashcam can watch the road, so you can download what it witnesses. Upon your return, it can park hands-free, and show a birdseye view.
Advanced systems can help de-stress driving, from standard Blind Spot Assist to pre-crash hearing protection. Options can help you change lanes with a tap of a turn signal, or help the cruise control steer, stop-and-go in traffic, even slow for an offramp.
In the future, cars will be able to communicate with each other over the airwaves. In the E-Class, the future starts today. With its industry-leading Car-to-X Communication, every new E-Class can automatically alert a central notification system of certain dangers, from detected wheelspin to the use of hazard flashers or even windshield wipers. The system can then alert other drivers with Car-to-X via in-dash displays or announcements, allowing precautions to be taken before reaching the hazard.
If an air bag deploys, your car can automatically initiate a call to Mercedes-Benz Emergency Services, transmitting your GPS-determined location and helpful vehicle information on your behalf. Trained experts are on call 24/7 to help summon local emergency responders to your location. You can also press the SOS button in the vehicle anytime you need emergency assistance, or see someone else who does. This vital service is provided for as long as you own the vehicle, no matter who's driving.
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.
Interpreting information that is continually supplied by the car's Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), electric power steering and suspension sensors, Crosswind Assist helps detect the effects of strong side winds on the vehicle's handling stability at highway speeds. Whether caused by lateral gusts or even a passing truck, the system can help keep the car on course via strategic braking of the wheels on one side of the vehicle.
The advanced Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the central in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it helps you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you're moving forward or backing up. Enhanced functionality now reveals virtually the entire length of the car along each side.
