12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia display.

A widescreen color display with multitouch interface makes it easy to access a world of features, including audio, MB Navigation, phone and vehicle settings. Pneumatically adjustable lumbar, side and shoulder supports offer custom-tailored comfort. Active side bolsters can automatically increase lateral support in cornering maneuvers, or even in the event of a potential accident. Eight massage programs can soothe and rejuvenate your back and shoulders, including two spa-like "hot stone" massages, plus an "active workout" program to help strengthen your back and leg muscles.

Dual-zone automatic climate control.

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin.

3-passenger rear seat.

The CLS is now a true five-seater, thanks to a full-width rear seat. Its contoured seatback offers lasting support for two or three passengers, and can fold down in a 40/20/40 split for a variety of ways to accommodate passengers and larger cargo. In the future, cars will be able to communicate with each other over the airwaves. In the CLS, the future starts today. With its industry-leading Car-to-X Communication, every new CLS can automatically alert a central notification system of certain dangers, from detected wheelspin to the use of hazard flashers or even windshield wipers. The system can then alert other drivers with Car-to-X via in-dash displays or announcements, allowing precautions to be taken before reaching the hazard.

Active Brake Assist.

Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

In-vehicle, one-touch calling features.

Three buttons in your car can connect you to the help you need in a variety of situations. Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call can transmit your GPS-determined location and helpful vehicle information to trained experts who can help summon local emergency responders to your location. Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance can send help if you need a jump-start, tow or other help with a breakdown. And Mercedes-Benz Information Call can help answer questions about your vehicle, locate a dealer, and more.

ATTENTION ASSIST.

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST^® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips.
