AMG engineering and hardware fortify the AMG C 43's biturbo V6, raising output to 385 hp. Biturbo V8s, each handcrafted by its own master, make the 469-hp C 63 more powerful than any coupe in its segment, except for the 503-hp C 63 S.

The C 43's AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive combines light weight with an agile 31:69 front/rear torque split. An electronically controlled limited-slip diff in the C 63 and C 63 S, to brilliantly balance torque to their rear wheels.

AMG RIDE CONTROL pairs a widened track with electronically controlled adaptive shock absorbers. Three damping stages integrate with the modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, to help take winding roads and tight turns in stride.

AMG DYNAMIC SELECT lets you alter shifting, throttle, chassis and more via a console button. Modes include Comfort, Slippery, Sport+, and Individual, plus RACE on the C 63 S. The available AMG DRIVE UNIT puts the controls right on the steering wheel.

Multipiston fixed front calipers grasp sizable discs with their perforations cast in place, not drilled later. Compound front discs sized 15.4 inches are standard on the AMG C 63 S.

AMG-enhanced 3.0L V6 biturbo engine.

A 385-hp 3.0L V6 biturbo engine features numerous AMG enhancements for instant response. Increased turbo boost puts its 384 lb-ft of torque on tap at just 2,500 rpm, for a 0-60 time of just 4.5 seconds. Rapid-multispark ignition and high-pressure Direct Injection act with millisecond speed and molecular precision. Beneath its red engine cover, a lightweight diecast-alloy block, variable valve timing and reduced friction further raise efficiency and performance.

Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine.

The AMG-developed V8 is engineered for a new era of performance. Generating higher output from less displacement, the 469-hp 4.0L V8 biturbo engine is more responsive yet significantly more fuel-efficient than its larger predecessor. Its massive torque reaches its 479 lb-ft peak at just 1,750 rpm, and holds it all the way to 4,500 rpm, for a 3.8-second 0-60 time and instant acceleration at any speed. Yet even with its advanced design and technologies, each AMG C 63 engine is hand-built and signed by its own craftsman.

AMG body styling.

The C-Class and AMG join forces in style. The vertical-bar AMG grille is underscored by a deep air dam with an "A-wing" design featuring mesh intakes and a gloss black insert. Sculpted side sills with matte chrome inserts bridge the standard 19-inch wheels. The deep rear valance embraces the four trapezoidal AMG tailpipes and diffuser in a chrome-shadow finish. And a highly effective, wind-tunnel-shaped rear spoiler brings the flowing lines to a dramatic finish.

AMG Optics Package.

Adding even more aggressively sporty appeal to the C 43 Coupe is a collection of visual enhancements, all finished in gloss black. Elements include the deep front splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler lip, and rear apron flics.

Active Brake Assist.

Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

ATTENTION ASSIST.

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST^® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.

Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call.

If an air bag deploys, your car can automatically initiate a call to Mercedes-Benz Emergency Services, transmitting your GPS-determined location and helpful vehicle information on your behalf. Trained experts are on call 24/7 to help summon local emergency responders to your location. You can also press the SOS button in the vehicle anytime you need emergency assistance, or see someone else who does. This vital service is provided for as long as you own the vehicle, no matter who's driving.

LED headlamps and taillamps.

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, multi-element LED headlamps enhance both vision and visibility during nighttime driving.
