Blind Spot Assist recognizes vehicles in the blind spot using two short-range radar sensors located in the rear bumper. If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, a red triangle warning appears in the exterior mirror. Should the driver operate the blinker for a lane change despite this visual warning, the triangle symbol starts to flash and a double warning tone is sounded additionally.
This dynamic handling system intervenes to help keep the van safe and firmly under control by automatically braking individual wheels and reducing engine power to help stabilize it if wheelspin, understeer, or oversteer is detected.
Can help the driver start off smoothly without rolling backward on hills with more than a 5-degree grade, maintaining brake pressure for approximately two seconds after the brake pedal is released.
